Earlier this year my good friend (and event designer extraordinaire), Duncan Reyes asked me to photograph an event that he and 3 other amazing event designers were doing (aka, the FAB4). It turned out to be the release party for Your Wedding Day Magazine (whom I work with quite a lot). Here's what Duncan had to say about the event...
"...how this all started was when thea (the editor of YWD) spoke to candace palec (the event manager at the Hotel Vitale) with the hotel vitale about having them host the summer 2007 issue release party at their hotel. i had just met candace a week before at my martini madness party at vessel. and already, she had deferred the production aspect of the event to my attention. because may was a very busy wedding month for me; and with the event happening on a thursday night, plus 2 wedding events i had that weekend, i went to the FAB 4 to assist me with this project. without hesitation and with pure excitement, we all pitched in and were excited with the opportunity to showcase each and every one's design talent and creativity. much less, to get the exposure to a myriad wedding and event planners, as well as potential brides & grooms. we each worked diligently in the 3 weeks we had, meeting and working closely with all the vendors listed below.
