Lauren + Nathan | Foreign Cinema

What happens when a playwright interviews a scientist for a play she's writing?  Magic.  This lovely wedding at the super-hip Foreign Cinema in San Francisco was written for love.

Featured as San Francisco's 7x7 Hot 20 power couple of 2011, Lauren, a published playwright and Nathan, a famous epidemiologist's romance is right out of a fairy tale. On their first date, Nathan Wolfe held Lauren Gunderson’s hands and said, “I think I’m done.” This was the same man who was portrayed in a 2009 Men’s Journal story as a jungle-living rogue virologist who couldn’t be pinned down. Gunderson, on the other hand, was looking to Wolfe as a potential subject for her next film script because of her own passion for science. “I think science is about discovery, about a lifelong quest,” she says. “Any lifelong quest is drama.” They celebrated their long waited nuptials with a small ceremony on the rooftop of their Nob Hill home and then danced the night away at local restaurant, Foreign Cinema with over a hundred of their close friends and family.
